接受新的还是继续旧的?

上周有个学生问我这个问题。这个学生正在上Windows Server 2003的课程(作为一系列课程的一部分)，并问他们是否应该跳过2003年的MCSE轨道，而参加Windows Server 2008 MCTS/MCITP考试。我的回答是我会留着以后用。Windows Server 2008正式发布才六个月左右。这些考试都是新的，有些考试本身只有几个月的时间，甚至有些课件还在最后定稿中。这是一个全新的产品和测试格式。Windows Serve 2003已经推出5年了，拥有非常强大的基础，许多公司还没有立即加入2008年的大潮!学习Windows Server 2008课程的学生人数正在增加——因此势头正在积聚，但企业转向2008还需要一段时间。此外，仍然有一些NT4网络在那里-不是很多，但他们确实存在。因此，不要指望Windows Server 2003会很快消亡。 Now, back to the student in question. He asked if he should continue on with his 2003 training as he had his MCSA and wanted to earn his MCSE. I told him he should continue on with his training and get his MCSE. His company was not planning on migrating to Windows Server 2008 in the next year or two and nor was he planning on seeking a new job either. A number of the skills he was developing on Windows Server 2003 would carry over to Server 2008, so he was not “losing” anything by finishing his training and earning his MCSE. I also pointed out the new MCTS/MCITP track and the upgrade tests he could take from his soon-to-be-earned MCSE on Windows Server 2003 to MCTS and MCITP on Windows Server 2008. There is no need to discontinue your MCSE training on Windows Server 2003 in favor of the new Server 2008 classes, it is going to be around for awhile longer and besides, you still have your MCSE on Windows Server 2003 even when Windows Server 2012 is released:)
